Microsoft launched Bing Android app

Finally Microsoft Bing has released the first official Bing for Mobile Android App available to Verizon Android customers. The app lets you access all of Microsoft’s Bing mobile services, including maps, directions, news, images, and you know… web search. However, Bing for Android lacks two significant features found in the iPhone version–options for scanning an item’s bar code with your camera, and connecting to your Twitter and Facebook feeds.

The Bing app has some interesting features that may or may not grab some customers:
* The app homepage features the Bing image of the day, flickable back seven days
* The image search feature has endless scrolling results
* Voice Search for ” relevant answers for things like movies, stock quotes, flight status and local listings”
* It also has a Maps app built in.
Bing for Mobile Android is available as a free download from the Android Market… if you have a Verizon handset.
