The smartphone, which is manufactured by Taiwan phone company HTC and based on Google’s Android operating system, could be available directly though the Google website as early as January 5 in an unlocked version or via a service contract through T-Mobile, a source familiar with the matter said.

Just like the iPhone 3GS, Nexus One will support , 802.11b/g WiFi, and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. However, when it comes to which smartphone offers a better camera quality, the title goes to Nexus One. It may have a built-in 5 mega-pixel camera as compared to iPhone’s 3 mega-pixel camera. Besides that, the Nexus One boasts a 3.7-inch AMOLED touch-screen display, which is slightly bigger than the iPhone’s 3.5-inch. According to photos taken by Googlers, the Nexus One does look incredibly thin and sleek.
Is Nexus One the next iPhone killer? Yes, it is.
