To mark the beginning of the World Cup soccer/football tournament that kicks off in one day, Twitter has added a new, special design to its list of backgrounds.
To enable it, log into Twitter, go to Settings > Design, and choose the “South Africa 2010″ theme. It’s a simple, dark theme in black and gold, and we expect to see it a lot in the next month.
As the World Cup approaches, the web is going wild about it; most recently, Google changed its search results logo from Goooooogle to Goooooooal. It’s going to be hard to escape football in the following month.
