Google’s Mobile Image Search Gets Faster, Prettier


Google has upgraded its mobile image search feature for iPhone 3.0+ and Android 2.1 devices, focusing on speed and ease of use.
New features include the inclusion of more thumbnails on a screen and the ability to swipe left or right to see the next or previous page of results (alternatively, you can tap the “Next” and “Previous” buttons). Images should now load more quickly and the image viewing page has a black background with buttons that fade out after a few seconds, which lets you see the images with fewer distractions.
To try out mobile Image Search, open www.google.com on your phone and tap on “Images.”
