Synchtube Lets You Watch YouTube Videos With Friends In Real-Time

If you’re looking for a way to enhance your social video experience, then you ought to check out this impressive site called Synchtube. Currently in beta, Synchtube is a free service that allows you to watch and discuss a YouTube video with your friends in real-time, all in one page.
How to use this service is a child’s play. Simple head over to Synchtube and copy and paste a link to your favorite YouTube video into the search field provided. Hit the “Create Room” button and you’ll then be directed to a page with the video and a chat room side by side. Next, send the unique link to up to four of your friends and play the video when they arrived. Since you’re the creator of the room, you can control the playback and switch to other videos of your choice. For example, when the leader presses the “Start” or “Stop” button, everyone will sync to their position and he/she has the ability to change the video being watched anytime.
Although it may look simple, but it’s indeed an ingenious idea. Synchtube is definitely useful to those who want to interact and communicate with their friends in real-time. It would be nice if the developers work on several advanced features such as the ability to create playlists and give the control over the room to another user.
